Spray Tan Booth

Self-contained automated spray tan unit, distinct from a hand-applied artist tan.

A spray tan booth is a self-contained automated unit (commonly Mystic, VersaSpa, or Norvell) installed at gyms, salons, and tanning chains. The client steps into the booth, presses a button, and a series of vertical nozzles spray tanning solution from multiple angles in a 60–90 second cycle. Booth tans are cheaper ($25–$50 per session) and faster than a hand-applied artist tan, but consistency is lower — the booth cannot adjust for body shape, can't apply barrier cream to knuckles, and produces noticeable streaking on torso and back. Booth tans suit the 'good enough, fast, cheap' segment, while professional hand-applied artist tans dominate the bridal, competition, and influencer segments where finish quality matters. Bronzly is built for the artist-applied segment and is not designed for franchise booth-only operators.
