Card on File

Saved client payment method used for deposits, no-show fees, and post-appointment charges.

Card on file is a payment method (credit or debit card) that the client saves to their Bronzly account at signup, authorizing the studio to charge it for deposits, no-show fees, late-cancel fees, and post-appointment service charges. Bronzly requires card-on-file at first booking with a $10 pre-authorization (held but not charged) to verify the card is valid. Once saved, the artist can charge the card with one tap from the appointment screen — no need for the client to tap their card or enter a phone number at checkout. Card-on-file is the technical foundation that makes deposit protection, no-show enforcement, and gratuity workflow seamless. PCI-compliant tokenization means Bronzly never stores the actual card number — only a Stripe token that authorizes future charges. Clients can update or remove their card-on-file from their account profile at any time.
